Manufacturer agrees to:

Provide rigorous factual information about the characteristics of the products to be qualified: manufacturing site location, origin of components, instructions for use, limitations on use, warranty, approvals and conformities in relation to various codes and standards, etc.;

Incorporate the logo in its communications about the qualified product lines taking care to ensure the visual identity is respected as outlined in the Logo Guide;

Comply with the conditions for posting information about qualified product on the portal (ici-here.ca), in particular;

only present qualified product lines1;
refrain from comparing its product lines with those of competitors on the ici-here.ca site;
refrain from broadcasting its selling prices, except in the case where the company has a suggested retail price (MSRP) policy.

A hardware item or building material intended for the residential market, that meets regulations, standards and constructions codes in effect, potentially certified or licensed and for which at least 51 % of the direct manufacturing costs (both production material and labour, assembly and packaging) have been incurred in Canada. These products are available in hardware stores and home improvement centers across the country.

Fees

Fees are determined based on the number of employees the Manufacturer has in Canada. Taxes apply and are charged extra according to the provincial laws in force where the Manufacturer’s headquarters are located.
The amount is payable to the NPO using one of the following: Bien fait ici, Well Made Here, or Bien fait ici/Well Made Here.
The annual fee covers an unlimited number of products the Manufacturer can submit to obtain the “Well Made Here” qualification from the NPO.
Adhesion to the NPO is automatically renewed on an annual basis, and an invoice will be issued thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date. The invoice must be paid by the anniversary date, failing which the online account and related products will be suspended.
