Faced with growing distrust towards China and with the aim of diversifying commercial exchanges too concentrated on the United States, Southeast Asia, and more particularly Vietnam, is increasingly positioning itself as the new Eldorado for Canadian companies.
As agreed, following the consultation with manufacturers affiliated with “Well Made Here” regarding the role the government should play in our affairs, Richard Darveau, CEO, sent a request by letter to the Prime Minister of Canada, copying four members of his cabinet.
The round “Well Made Here” logo and its French equivalent “Bien fait ici” were clearly visible here and there at the Homecoming buying show organized by the Home Hardware banner in Toronto in mid-September.
