On joining, Venmar Ventilation set itself the goal of chiming the news that the company is a proud program participant and was accrediting its qualified Broan, NuTone and Venmar product lines.
After having voluntarily initiated the “Well Made Here” program two years ago, Richard Darveau, the president and CEO of the Quebec Hardware and Building Supply Association (AQMAT) observed that the program required executive management. It is with this in mind that the board of directors of AQMAT, at its January 20th meeting, then the board of directors of the pan-Canadian “Well Made Here” organization, at its February 12th meeting, agreed to sign mirror agreements with Mr. Darveau in order for both to benefit from his services in a fifty-fifty split for the years to come.Read more
Since Richard Darveau has become an employee of the company, the directors, for the sake of separating roles and applying the principles of good governance, voted for to appoint a new director to represent the interests of AQMAT on the board.
The number of facilities where “Well Made Here” products are manufactured continues to grow rapidly now reaching close to 160 sites. These are geographically spread out across all five regions of Canada. Read more
Regarding the “Well Made Here” accreditation, all indications show that it is advantageous to integrate the logo into the packaging regardless of the market where the product will be sold, and with point of purchase material used throughout the retail networks across the country.
