They say there is no love, there is only proof of love. On this day of Canadian celebrations, “Well Made Here” management is taking steps to force reflection on our behaviour when it comes to encouraging local purchases elsewhere than at the grocery store. In short, the argument can be summed up as follows: if we really love our country, we should buy more products that are made here.
On June 13th, the first meeting of a dedicated group of six leaders from manufacturing companies participating in the “Well Made Here” program was held.
Today, July 1, 2022, TORBSA becomes AD Canada – Building Materials, having joined the Affiliated Distributors (AD). The merger creates a new division: AD Canada – Building Materials. TORBSA President Paul Williams will lead the division while reporting to Mr. Dewar. Three additional TORBSA employees will join the AD team.
Although the renovation centers are all closed on Canada Day, the management of the “Well Made Here” program has opted to elicit the symbolism of this day in order to address a burning question: why do customers think local when it comes to doing groceries, but not when shopping at the hardware store?
Banners and buying groups support the program in their own way and according to their means. As the national holiday approaches, we are sharing with you some of the activities that contribute significantly to the growth of our pan-Canadian program.
